Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council has announced that it will no longer contribute towards the cost of festive lights and the Christmas trees in Ripponden Parish.
Ripponden Parish Council, therefore, voted on Thursday 8 August to fund the entire cost of the festive lights and Christmas trees for Barkisland, Ripponden, and Rishworth this year. We are also enquiring as to the possibility of expanding festive lights into Soyland.
