Cllrs Alex Greenwood and Peter Hunt attended St John’s School on Tuesday 15 October 2024 to talk to the pupils as part of the school’s “People who keep us safe” week.
The councillors spoke about how part of the the parish council’s job is to notice and report small problems around the area, so they can be tackled before they become far bigger issues that require substantial effort to solve.
They also spoke about how the Parish Council works. Pupils on the school council were particularly interested in how the councillors vote, and what happens if a vote is tied.
