Remembering the fallen
Remembrance Sunday saw a tremendous turnout at the Rishworth, Ripponden and Barkisland War Memorials and the attendant parades.
Wreaths were laid by the Chairman of the Parish Council, Calderdale Ward Councillors on behalf of the Mayor of Calderdale, the West Yorkshire Deputy Lieutenant Steve Duncan, a representative of the Police Service, a representative of the British Legion, and our local uniform groups.
The Parish Council would like to thank the Police and volunteer marshals from both the Sowerby Bridge Rotary Club and the wider community for helping to ensure the event took place in a safe manner.
