10.10h Service of Remembrance at Ripponden War Memorial.
Procession to march to St Bartholomew’s for the Church Service of Remembrance at 10.30am.
12.00h Assemble at Barkisland War Memorial.
12.15h Service of Remembrance at Barkisland War Memorial.
About Remembrance Sunday
Ripponden Parish Council has organised Remembrance Sunday Services at Rishworth, Ripponden and Barkisland since its inception.
Traditionally, the Council holds a parade down Oldham Road from Rishworth War Memorial to Ripponden War Memorial.
In recent years, the West Yorkshire Fire Brigade band have provided the musical accompaniment to the services.
We welcome representatives from uniform groups in the parish to join our services and parade.
Please be advised that comfortable footwear is required for the parade, and the morning can be quite cold so a warm coat may be needed.
Orders of Service will be given out at the Memorials on the day.
